Escalo Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Escalo is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). Those are the terms of use. This page adds three things that matter for a training app, and how we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
Not medical advice — train at your own risk
Escalo is a training log. It is not a medical device, a coach, or a substitute for professional advice.
- Nothing in the app — exercise instructions, demonstration clips, records, suggestions, trends, the left/right imbalance note, or nutrition numbers — is medical, physiotherapy, nutritional or professional fitness advice. The analytics are arithmetic on the numbers you entered; a flag is not a diagnosis, and no flag is not a clearance to train.
- Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury or medical condition or are pregnant.
- You train at your own risk. Strength training can cause serious injury. You are responsible for your technique, loads, equipment and surroundings.
- Stop and get medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or any other warning sign.
Escalo Pro
Recording your training is free. Escalo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription bought through the App Store. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown in the app and by Apple at the moment you buy. It renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple. If Pro lapses, you keep all your training, can still record, and can still export everything.
Your data
Your training is yours. You can export it as CSV from Settings at any time, and we recommend doing so now and then — like any app, Escalo can lose data to a device failure or a failed sync.
