A carry tracker that logs weight and distance
A farmer's carry is a weight carried a distance. Logged as sets and reps it loses the one number that matters, and logged as a note it never becomes a record. Escalo logs a carry as what it is: load and distance, set by set, with records that fit the movement.
Weight and distance, nothing else
Each carry set has two fields, load and distance. There is no reps box, because a carry has no reps. Load is in kilograms or pounds and distance in metres or yards, whichever you choose in Settings.
Each empty field shows a grey suggestion: the set you logged at that position last session, or the set above it. Change the numbers, or tick the checkbox to accept them as they are.
Carries in the library
The library has eleven carries and sled movements:
- Farmer's carry, with dumbbells or kettlebells
- Suitcase carry, with a dumbbell or a kettlebell
- Front rack carry
- Overhead carry
- Trap bar carry
- Sandbag carry
- Ruck
- Sled push and sled drag
A carry the library lacks is a custom exercise away: choose load + distance when you create it, and it logs and charts the same way.
Records that fit a carry
Escalo keeps three records for every carry:
- Max load — the heaviest weight you carried.
- Max distance — the furthest you carried it.
- Biggest carry — the single set with the largest weight × distance. 40 kg for 30 m beats 60 kg for 15 m, because it moved more.
Records update as you tick each set. The exercise's progress page charts your heaviest load over time, with the three records beside it.
In the same session as everything else
A carry sits in the same workout as your squats and planks, each with its own fields. A squat asks for load and reps, a carry for load and distance, a plank for time.

The rest timer runs between sets. It shows on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity, and on a paired Apple Watch in the Smart Stack, with an alert when rest is over.
Free, and yours to keep
Logging carries, their records and their progress are included in Free. Your training saves on your phone first and works offline, and Export my data in Settings writes every set to a CSV file, distance included.
Carries are one of six ways Escalo records a movement. The others include per-side lifts with left and right logged apart, holds by time, and supersets ticked a round at a time.
